Dot Canter Cape
The DOT cloak was hand sewn by Heather Treadway and her mother Trish Grant in Portland Oregon. Plush, soft and extra-drapey cotton/wool blend fabric in black with tiny white woven dots, lined with a black nubby soft and textural silk. This cloak feels like a soft blanket. Buttoned under each arm to create shape. Note how the collar sits nicely inside the ample hood, gently opening just under the chin. When worn reversed (black side out) the collar encircles the hood, creating an entirely new look. A relaxed and chic choice.
Canter is a timeless collection of wool capes and cloaks. We create pieces for discerning people that are high quality, beautiful, and made locally in the Pacific Northwest. Elegant, soft and reversible, Canter capes are built to last. They naturally resist rain and soil, and provide shelter from cold climates and harsh weather. All materials are purchased from Mill End, a local designer fabric store located here in Portland, Oregon. Each piece takes approximately 20 hours to produce from start to finish. Having used the highest quality wool and linen available, we stand behind the intended longevity of each piece. Please email us at: heather.treadway@gmail.com with any questions regarding your new cape or cloak. Custom pieces are available upon request.
